A Soft, Filled-In Brow That Lasts
Powder brows (also called ombré or shaded brows) are a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment. Instead of individual hair strokes, Sarah builds up tiny dots of pigment to create a soft, powdery shade, like a perfectly applied brow powder or pencil.
With an ombré finish, the front of the brow is kept light and airy and gradually deepens towards the tail for a natural gradient. It can be as soft or as defined as you like.
Because the pigment is shaded rather than etched in fine lines, powder brows usually heal more evenly and last longer on oily, combination and mature skin, where microblading strokes can blur or fade quickly.
Love the look of hair strokes too? Combination brows blend microbladed strokes at the front with powder shading through the body and tail. Ask Sarah about it at your consultation. It’s the same price.
Who Powder Brows Are For
Powder and ombré brows are a brilliant choice if you:
- Have oily, combination or mature skin
- Like a defined, “made-up” brow rather than a barely-there look
- Fill your brows in with powder or pencil every day
- Have had microblading fade quickly or blur in the past
- Want brows that stay put through sweat, swimming and hot weather
- Want to refresh or soften older brow work (subject to consultation)
Prefer a lighter, feathery look? Take a look at microblading. Not sure which to choose? A free 15-minute consultation is the easiest way to decide.
Your Powder Brows Appointment
Consultation
Chat through the look you want, from soft and natural to bold and defined. Sarah checks suitability and explains exactly what to expect.
Shape & colour
Sarah measures and draws on a brow shape to suit your face, and blends a pigment colour for your hair and skin tone. You approve it first.
Shading
Pigment is built up gradually with a fine machine for a soft, even, powdery finish. Most appointments take around 90 minutes.
4-week top-up
Once healed, Sarah perfects the shape and deepens the colour where needed. It’s included in the price.
Powder Brows Healing Timeline
Powder brows go through a few stages before they settle. You’ll get full written aftercare, and Sarah is always happy to answer questions.
Brows look noticeably darker and bolder than the final result. They will soften.
Light flaking as the skin heals. Colour may look patchy or lighter underneath for a short time.
The true colour comes through and the soft, powdery finish settles in.
Your included top-up builds colour evenly and perfects the ombré effect.

Powder & Ombré Brows FAQs
How much are powder brows in Great Yarmouth?
Powder, ombré and combination brows at Skinful Aesthetics are £285, including your consultation, the treatment and a perfecting top-up at around 4 weeks.
What is the difference between powder brows and microblading?
Microblading uses fine hand-drawn strokes that look like individual hairs. Powder brows use tiny dots of pigment for a soft, shaded makeup look. Powder brows usually last longer and heal more evenly on oily or mature skin.
Are ombré brows the same as powder brows?
They use the same shading technique. “Ombré” describes the gradient: lighter at the front and deeper towards the tail. Sarah can make them as soft or as defined as you like.
How long do powder brows last?
Results typically last 1–3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle and sun exposure, often longer than microblading on oily skin. A colour boost every 12–18 months keeps them fresh.
Do powder brows hurt?
Most clients find the treatment very manageable. Sarah works at your pace and checks in with you throughout.
Will powder brows look too heavy?
Not unless you want them to! Sarah builds colour gradually and designs the density with you, from a soft wash of colour to a bold, defined brow.
